Sonic's home world is called Mobius. Mobius knows the ancient world (the 21st century) as the earth. But in 12,000 years, Earth will be called Mobius. People and animals live on planet Mobius. However, these animals have evolved much like humans, making their level of intelligence equal to humans. Evolution has also given these animals a more human body.
