Persephone (Ancient Greek: Περσεφόνεια, Persephoneia (especially with Homer) is the goddess of the kingdom of the dead and of spring in Greek mythology. She was the daughter of Demeter, the goddess of agriculture and grain, and the supreme god Zeus. The Roman variants of Demeter and Zeus are Ceres and Jupiter.
