Puzzle Sandro Botticelli Birth of Venus 1000 pcs
Botticelli was born as Alessandro di Mariano Filipepi in Florence on 01 March 1445, Botticelli was first an apprentice to a goldsmith. During 1465-67 he was an apprentice of Filippo Lippi, where he learned to paint angels and Madonnas. Afterwards, for stylistic reasons, he worked in the studio of Verrocchios. Botticelli had contacts with philosophers, including the Medici family, which had a great influence on his career. The 'Primavera', which he painted in 1478 and 'Birth of Venus' four years later, are among Botticelli's most famous works. He made both paintings at the behest of Pier Francesco Medici. After a very glorious and rich creative period, Botticelli's creative power weakened in the last decade of his life. He died in Florence in the year 1510.
